Sensitive (adj)
- affected by external conditions or stimuli
- having the power of sensation
I didn't speak that much about my private life until now, and is not the aim of this blog. I am not going to share my deepest feelings and I am the same in "real life" : I put some distance, as a shield to protect myself, which makes me appear "cold". Then, step by step, I open myself.
So, I felt that, for once, I could share with you something else that stylistic considerations...
The recent events, national but also personal, have affected me a lot. In addition to the tragic attacks that struck France, my sister suffered from important health problems which seem to have, fortunately, a positive end.
Indeed, I spent more time with my family than on the blog (you might have seen that if you follow Sneak my style on Facebook). I wanted to celebrate the "one year of the blog" on this begining of year, but those events took me away from this idea.
This is not some kind of justification, I am not going to apologise for not having the time to post on the blog. This is not my professional activity, I don't have a contrat nor a diligence agreement... This is a personnal hobby that I share when I have both time and will. And I don't write it in response to some critics, this is just a wish to tell a bit more about me.
Now, let's continue...
This blog is a way to balance out the seriousness of my work. It gave me the opputunity, over this year, to meet very cool people (which was the aim) and to share one of my passion. As a sensitive person, fashion stimulates some of my senses, such as eyesight (colors, shapes, ...), touch (the softness of a fur, the warm of a woollen garment, ...) but also sometimes smell (I am thinking about leather).
Some may say it is a supperficial passion. Why would it be more supperficial than music for instance ? Would you say that the sens of earing is more important than another, and what would be the hierarchy of senses ? As far as I am concerned, I enjoy pieces of music as well as a clothes. Fashion seems to me a matter of senses, and is, by definition, subjective ! So, what I had in mind for this blog was showing outfits without having to explain why I wear this jacket with this skirt... For me, it is all about feelings and not about explaination !
Last but not least, I would like to clear up one point. The outfits you can see on this blog come from our personal wardrobe. We have no agreement with some shops, nor we receive gifts from brands. This blog will never become, like some others, a "range of products" which we wouldn't trully enjoy. We don't expect to become professional bloggers, nor it-people. When I mention a shop or a restaurant, it means that we fell a real crush for it.
Well, I hope you can see now a little bit more who is hiding behind Sneak my style. We get back to you with new outfits that may stimulate your eyesight...
